Apple Safari 5 Released At WWDC 2010


During the announcement of iPhone 4 at WWDC 2010, Apple also announced its latest update of its Safari web browser. The new Safari 5 is boasted as the world's fastest browser with number of advanced features which makes the consumers and developers to remain happy. The Safari 5 (39.1 MB) update is available for download from Apple's website or via Software Update on Mac OS X for Mac and PC's.



The new Safari 5 offers 30 percent increase in performance and support for new HTML5 technologies along with the addition of Bing search and secure sandboxed extensions. The browser is coming with safari Reader which allows the users to read multiple pages in a single page which offers quick and uninterrupted reading and also there is an option for sharing, printing and enlarging the articles.


The HTML 5 in Safari 5 provides full screen playback and closed captions for HTML5 video and also offers HTML5 Geolocation and numerous other new HTML5 tools for web developers and allow them to customize and create Safari 5 extensions on web technologies .


Safari 5 on Mac runs the Javascript 30 percent faster than in Safari 4 with Nitro JavaScript Engine and also faster loading of webpages with DNS prefetching.
