Toshiba introduced a new 7-inch Android tablet in Italy. The new tablet named LT170 sports an ultra thin light weight design, and has a stunning satin blue back case. Toshiba throws a Freescale CPU to power the device, and is packed with some nice features.
The 7-inch screen offers a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels with capacitive multitouch support. Behind the 7-inch screen, the devicet packed up with 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal flash storage and also 1 GHz Freescale i.MX53 processor. The device also features 2 mega pixel rear and 0.3 megapixel front facing cameras. Like any other 7-inch Android tablets, Toshiba LT170 also offers WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1, Mini USB 2.0, audio jack, mini SD and Micro SD Cards, docking etc. The ambient light sensor in the tablet adjusts the screen to lighting conditions, automatically. The device is drawing the power from a lithium ion battery, and is pretty good enough to offer up to seven hours of video playback per charge.
The tablet weighs just 388g and measures 200.25 x 128.5 x 11.5 mm. Toshiba is launching the device later in March, for a price tag of €299. The device is listed for pre-order in some retailer stores.
