It is not a secret that Microsoft is readying their Windows 8 OS, and a number of manufacturers are waiting for the OS for their tablets to come up with some outstanding products. But the exact time frame was unknown. Now according to Bloomberg, Microsoft is all set for the October release of Windows 8. The source also points out that both Intel and ARM devices are waiting for the OS, and Windows 8 will roll out around five ARM devices and more than 40 Intel based device when it launched.
Microsoft is setting an event on April for industry partners to spell out on timings, and strategies that relate to the launch of Windows 8.
The time frame Microsoft selected seems to be pretty good for the devices, and according to the analysts if Microsoft lost the September-October launch window, we won't see any Windows 8 devices in 2012, which otherwise means there won't be any competition for iPad during this holiday season, that may be a disaster for Microsoft.
So stay tuned for an ultimate Windows experience.
