Lenovo silently introduced an updated version of their first 7-inch Android tablet, IdeaPad A1, introduced back in 2011. The newly updated version IdeaPad A1107, is available for purchase from Best Buy, for $199.99. The new version offers Android 4.0 ICS, instead of Android 2.3 in the original version.
Other features seems to be the same, including a 7-inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, and a TI OMAP 3 single core processor.
Even when the price tag seems pretty good, the device have to face a tight competition, as there are a number of tablets available for $199.99, like Kindle Fire from Amazon, and a big fish, Google's own tablet the 7-inch Nexus 7 is also coming with that price tag. Google tablet meanwhile offers much improved performance with quad core processor, and also the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. But the presence of a rear facing camera and a microSD card slot makes the IdeaPad A1107 stand out from Nexus 7.
