Finally August 29 is here, as we expected Samsung officially throws a number of new products, and top to the list is obviously Samsung Galaxy Note II, the second version of original Galaxy Note, and the new phablet looks more beautiful and stylish than the previous one, armed with much impressive features. Samsung Galaxy Note II was a regular visitor on rumor columns and most of the specifications rumored and leaked many times over the past few months turned to be true. So without any further wait here we are unwrapping the specifications of glorious Samsung Galaxy Note II.
Starting from the design, the Samsung Galaxy Note II offers more rounded corners and soft finishing than the previous model, and comes up with a larger 5.5-inch display, but thanks to the thinner and lighter bezel, even with the increased screen size, the device is not so bigger. The 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED Plus display offers 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio, slightly lower than the previous version, still it never losses any picture quality, as the new Note leaves the PenTile, and uses the standard RGB matrix, that offers more sub pixels, leads to an ultimate clarity.
Moving to the innards, the oft-rumored Samsung Exynos 4412 quad-core processor is the power house, as in the Galaxy S III, but the processor is clocked at 1.6 Hz, that means you will never feel any lag or any trouble, and the device can process anything you throws. The device houses a 2GB of RAM, and an internal memory option of 16GB, 32GB and 64 GB. The storage is further expanded up to 64GB with the support of a microSD card. Apart from these features, the most exciting feature of the device, the best of all is the presence of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
There will be an 8MP back side illuminated autofocus rear shooter with LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, and a 1.9 MP front facing camera. The rest of the features includes Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, GPS and Glonass, Wi-Fi Direct, 21 Mbps HSPA+ or 4G LTE support, NFC, MHL,USB 2.0, and a number of sensors including accelerometer, proximity, gyro, digital compass, barometer, RGB light etc.
The device measures 151.1×80.5×9.4mm, and weigh just 180g. The standard 3,100mAh battery will make it for a full day On.
Now comes the software side, the device is pre-loaded with a range of new features optimized for the brand new stylus dubbed as 'S Pen', The new S Pen is thicker longer and is specifically designed for a perfect grip.
The new S Pen offers some interesting tricks, like if you are hovering the pen over apps like email, S Planner, video or image gallery you will get a quick preview of the contents, and no need to open it. The S Pen featured apps includes Idea Visualizer, Easy Clip, Air View, Popup Note, Quick Command and Screen Recorder etc. One of the interesting feature, PopUp Note and PopUp Video will automatically bring up a note, by just taking out the S Pen out of the slot, while you are in a call.
