The first netbook from Nokia 'Booklet 3G' is yet to drop into the buyer's hand. The netbook uses aluminium chassis instead of plastic to get a mirror like finishing. The 20mm thickness and 2.76 pounds and smooth round edges gives Booklet 3G a sleek and sexy look.
The screen size of this device is about 10 inch and has a pixel resolution of 1280x720. If you want a bigger display you can connect to larger display using HDMI port. Other than the HDMI port there are three USB ports, a slot for SD cards, headphone/microphone jack. The Booklet 3G is coming in three attractive colors -- blue, black and white.
You may feel the difference from the keboard itself. The keyboard gives an excellent tactile feedback without becoming over sensitive. The main feature of this netbook is the battery. With 16 cells (which is most in available netbooks of today) this device can hold charge for upto 12 hours. The batteries are removable and too small which blends perfectly into this netbook.
The Booklet 3G is coming with a 1 GB RAM, 120 GB hard disk drive and is running on Intels Atom Z530 1.6 GHz processor with Microsoft's latest operating system Windows 7.
Nokia calls the Booklet a 'mini laptop' rather than a netbook. The device can easily access internet with HSPA (high speed packet access) or 802.11n Wi-Fi. Nokia's Ovi software helps easy synchronization between Nokia phones and netbook.
Booklet 3G is coming with a price tag of $799 and $299 with a contract on AT&T.
