
It is well known that Google is working on an operating system and plans to release the full version of the chrome OS in next year. But rumors are that they are planning to roll out a preview edition this year. Reports from china, where essentially anytime something technological advancement can happen, indicates that devices powered by the Loongson CPU from a company called Lemote could soon be sold with Google's Chrome OS pre-installed.
The notebooks will launch with chrome OS running on the Loongson 2F processor, which is a MIPS-based chipset. These could be produced much cheaper than typical atom processor netbooks. And this all different netbook can make the netbook scene more exciting. The device may hit the asian markets next month.
