Apple had a surge in its share prices after the announcement of shipping of its much awaited ipad. iPad is a tablet pc from the iphone maker and is expected to take the markets by storm. The announcement came just before the stock markets opened for Friday's trade. The share gained around 4 % during the day's trade.
The arrival of iPad in the market could turn out to be a new era in the computer market. More compact modules with features of laptops would essentially be the priority for the future buyers. iPad which is .5 inch thick weighs just 1.5 pounds.
iPad which has a built-in Wi-Fi will be costing 499$ in US markets. However the inability to connect to the internet through 3G would be considered a major draw back. The machines for global market that is expected to be released by the end of April end will be having Wi-Fi and 3G. The cheapest version is coming with a memory of 16 GB and the expensive model priced at $829 will be having a memory of 64GB and will be a 3G enabled device.
