Motorola officially announced world's first Push-to-Talk device which is running on Google's mobile operating system, Android. The newly announced device Motorola i1, which was known as Opus One is also the world's first iDEN device with modern smartphone features. The device got a rugged design to meet the military specifications and as the company claims the device will “meets Military specifications for protection against dust, shock, vibration and blowing rain”
The Motorola i1 is specially designed for Sprint's iDEN portfolio and it will be one of the best looking PTT smartphone. The features of i1 includes 3.1 inch HVGA “tough” touchscreen display, Swype virtual keyboard, MicroSD card support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, Microsoft Document Viewer, Opera Mini 5, Webkit browser (with Adobe Flash Lite), and powered by Android 1.5.
The device will be hitting Sprint in the beginning of this summer. There is no more detail about pricing and exact date of launching available. For more details visit Press Release.
