Asus updated their Eee PC 1005PE laptop. The new model features a sleek case design with a painted textured lid. The design is almost same as in the Eee PC 1001P. The device is now available in US and is coming in a black color only.
The device is coming with a 10.1-inch glossy display with 1024 x 600 resolution which you already saw in the Eee PC 1005PE-PU17. However the new device won't be having the matte palm rest as in Eee PC 1001p line up.
The specifications seems to be almost same as its predecessor. With the same Intel Atom N450 processor(1.66 GHz), Windows 7 starter edition, 250GB hard drive and 1 GB RAM, and a 6-cell battery.
The device is currently available for pre-order at Amazon.com for $389.99.
