GIGABYTE, a well known name in the field of computer hardware products, based in Taiwan announced a new netbook M1000, which seems to be a successor to its BookTop M1022 series. The device looks identical to the BookTop M1022 and it got a silver brushed metal chassis rather than the glossy white in BookTop.
The features of the device includes a 10.1-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, 1GB RAM, Intel Atom N470 processor, along with GMA 3150 graphics, 3 USB ports, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit LAN, 1.3M webcam, audio jacks, card reader, VGA, docking port, express card, 250-320GB HDD, Windows 7 etc. Two choices for battery are available for the device either 4-cell 31.68Wh 4400mAh battery or 6-cell 57.72Wh 7800mAh battery and also comes an optional 3.5G.
