HP's TouchSmart tm2 is a gradual upgrade of the tx series. The new device has got an exotic beauty with its sleeker aluminum exterior and engraved design. The multitouch tablet is set to release in the CES 2010 and will be available from January 7.


Other features of the HP touchsmart tm2 includes a 12-inch WXGA wide screen HD display, Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor instead of AMD for a longer battery life, Intel integrated graphics or ATI Mobility Radeon (ATi 5470) graphics for an extra punch, newer revision of touchsmart software that can work with Twitter, Rhapsody and Hulu. HP bundles BumpTop which is a touch enabled 3D software. And there is the Corel Paint It Touch which helps to draw and paint the screen without fingers.


The device is suitable for students and for those who need to take handwritten notes. It offers 9 hours battery life and comes with a price tag of $950.
