The EBOX PC which is showcased at CES 2010 by Marvell left a distinctive impression with its size. The EBOX runs with Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala and can handle 1080p HD video playback. It can also be connected to big screen LCDs.
A hard drive is not present in this device and the OS runs off on an SD card. EBOX features a Marvell Armada 510 processor, which is ARM v7 based chipset that can run upto 1.2GHz.
EBOX is the first tiniest full fledged computer and the demo seems to use a prototype. Details like when it hits the markets, when they start bulk production and at what price the device will be available etc are yet to be known. We have to wait until an official announcement.
