Samsung entered the crowded e-book market by revealing two new models E6, a 6-inch display ebook and E101 ebook with 10-inch screen size. The devices provide a dedicated electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen with which you can directly write on the display and make notes as you wish. A number of pens and erasers are available with the e-book and it will prevent mistype and make a perfect book for drawing and writing.
The devices are coming with WiFi/ Bluetooth 2.0 for downloading and exchanging the content. The light hit on the surface reflects naturally to provide an appearance similar to printed paper. The display is coming without backlit which helps to lower the power consumption and extends battery life. Once charged (for 4 hours) the battery will last for two weeks.
Samsung partnered the e-book with Google to provide its huge collection of public domain books to the reader. e-Book has a slide-down control panel which brings out navigation and menu controls along with stereo speakers. The device supports PDF, TXT, ePub formats and comes with a set of dictionaries together with text-to-speech engine that guarantees "accurate" pronunciations
The two ebooks will hit the markets by early 2010 for a price of $399 for E6 and $699 for E101.
