CES 2010: HP Unveiled Z200 Workstation Starting From $769

While Hewlett Packard's (HP) netbook announcement was exciting the desktop side was as much exciting too. The officially announced HP z200 is new to the z-series work station and it is an entry level to the company's well-considered models of Z400, Z600 and Z800. The device is a perfect choice for education, government and small business users. With its performance oriented configuration it is also suited for designers and engineers working with softwares like AutoCAD, Autodesk and photographers using Adobe Photoshop. The device is powered by Intel Corei3/Core i5 dual-core/quad-core Xeon 3400 processors.

HP Z200 with a tool-less chassis, convertible minitower, convenient FireWire and USB ports resembles more expensive versions. The power supply is based on green engineering which offers 89% energy efficiency and reduced the energy usage. HP houses a 3.5-inch hard-drive which can offer upto 4.5TB at 7,200rpm, a standard replaceable DVD drive which can be replaced by a DVD or Blu-ray burner, integrated GPU with various levels of NVIDIA and ATI video cards.


HP Z200 will hit the market in February with a starting price tag of $769.
