Lenovo Introduced First Intel Powered 1080p Smartphone, K900 With 5.5" Display

Lenovo K800 was the first Intel powered smartphone from the company, and now they are introducing the successor to the K800, in the form of K900. Lenovo has finished the new device, as a high end smartphone, to take on the Droid DNA, Nubia Z5 or any other 1080p devices.

As we pointed out,the K900 is coming with a 1080p display. It is finished with stainless steel alloy and polycarbonate, that gives an elegant touch to the device. Display is done with Gorilla Glass 2 5.5" IPS LCD screen that offers 400 ppi pixel density and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, hence becomes the first 1080p smartphone from Intel. The K900 uses Intel’s next-generation dual-core Z2580 Cover Trail+ mobile processor, clocked around 2 GHz to power the smartphone.

Weighing around 162 g the company has tried to pack all the stuff within 6.9mm thickness. It's not only the 1080p display that makes it an impressive device to check out, but the rest of the features also supports to make it one of the “top-of-the-line” devices.

It offers 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a MicroSD card support for storage expansion. The 13MP camera comes with Sony BSI sensor and an impressively bright F/1.8 lens, the front facing camera is also pretty good, that has an 88-degree viewing angle for better self-shots and video calling. Lenovo K900 runs on Android, the version is not mentioned in the press release.

It is slated for an April release, in China, and the company is also planning expand the market in "select regional markets" shortly after. The price tag is not revealed by the company.
