At the venue of CES 2013, NVIDIA officially unveiled their next generation mobile processor, dubbed as Tegra 4. The new processor is finished with 28nm process, and will be delivering 6 times better visual experience than its previous one, the Tegra 3. The new core lands with a 72 GeForce GPU cores, and as the first quad-core processor with Cortex A15 cores on-board. The company presents their latest processor as the world's fastest mobile processor, and it also offers compatibility with LTE networks.

The Tegra 4 integrates a new processing technology, known as computational photography architecture, that with the help of a new engine, offers faster and better performance in all camera related operations, by eventually reducing the amount of time for all camera works. NVIDIA is prepping the mobile cameras to raise above the DSLRS, with their new processor. The new chip will be capable of reducing the time duration between two shots, and also can implement HDR (that requires taking multiple images in quick succession) in burst shots with LED flash for a better picture of a moving object.
Unfortunately Tegra 4 processor is not coming with an integrated LTE modem, but the processor adds support for 4G LTE with an optional i500 Soft Modem, announced along with Tegra 4.
The new processor can reduce the power consumption by a considerable amount, thanks to the new PRISM 2 display tech that reduces the the power used by the backlight, thus to achieve 45 percent decrease in power consumption when compared to Tegra 3. The chip also supports 4K ultra high-definition video format. No words on when a new mobile device with this new Tegra 4 processor hits the streets.
