BlackBerry officially introduced the long rumored R10 as BB Q5

The Canadian makers BlackBerry have introduced a new mid-ranger, Q5 with their classic QWERTY keyboard, and if you are hearing the name for the first time, no need to worry, we are also. But you may be familiar with the device and its specifications, as the Black Berry Q5 is none other than recently rumored R10. So one thing is pretty sure the '10' in their naming series like Q10, Z10 doesn't indicate the BB10 OS, but in fact the number denotes, whether it is high end, mid-ranger or entry level, it seems.

BlackBerry's Q5 is a mid-ranger loaded with their latest BB10 OS, and an affordable device for those who want to experience their BB10 platform. It offers a 3.1" touch screen with unknown resolution. Unfortunately BlackBerry didn't provide any other details on the device including the price details too. But one thing is sure, as we reported earlier BlackBerry is planning to introduce the device in a range of attractive colors including white, red, black, and pink.

The Q5 will be available in some “selected markets” in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia (including the Asia Pacific region), and Latin America starting from July.
