Breaking all our expectations Nokia and Verizon officially announced the Lumia 928. The phone was rumored to make its official opening at the May 14 Lumia event in London, but Nokia did it even before that. So the Lumia event on May 14 may be just for Nokia Catwalk, or we don't know whether Nokia is planning for any unexpected twist. Lumia 928 will be exclusively sold by Verizon in the US from May 16, for a $99.99 on contract.

As expected the Lumia 928 is just a beefed version of original Lumia 920. The major change in it is the camera part, as it packs a Xenon flash that is rumored quite a lot. It also offers the standard LED flash. The phone packs optically stabilized 8.7MP image sensor, and a 26mm wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens with F/2.0 aperture. The wide dynamic range microphones helps the device to record sounds as loud as 140dB, and the camera will capture 1080p video at 30fps.
It offers a 4.5" display with 768 x 1,280 pixels resolution. The display is a super sensitive one that works with finger nails and gloves. The AMOLED display with ClearBlack, and a High Brightness mode will offer extremely bright display.
Moving to the innards, it offers a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor with 1GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, 7GB free storage space with SkyDrive, 2,000mAh battery etc. The network and connectivity options includes Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, 4G LTE, NFC, it also packs wireless charging support. Nokia Here (Maps, Drive+, City Lens), Nokia Music is also included in the device.
Nokia is offering the device in two color versions both Black and White.
