Google reportedly abandons X Phone project

Just a couple of weeks ago we reported that Google's most rumored high end smartphone, the X Phone, is not going to get introduced at Google I/O 2013, and we would see the device only by the fourth quarter of this year. The reason for the delay of the device was reported that Google is not at all satisfied with the designs and the project is still in its prototype stage.

Now the reports from China gives more hints on the matter and according to that Google is moving away from X Phone. Sun Chang Xu, an elecronics analyst with 18 years experience in the industry in China noted that Google no longer sees the project as innovative and that may be the reason for handing over the project to Motorola. But don't worry the X Phone episode is not going end as Motorola is reportedly running the show on their own.

Google X Phone was making buzz in the rumors and leaks, and made a great picture with its rumored specifications. It is rumored to offer 4.8 inch Sapphire Glass display with quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor power and a 4,000 mAh battery. But remember that both Google and Motorola haven't officially reported anything about the device, and all that floating around the web about X Phone are just rumors and wild guesses.
