We have been hearing the rumors on the upcoming ruggedized smartphone, Galaxy S4 Active from Samsung for a while now. The smartphone is already confirmed and is spotted in some benchmark sites. But we have not yet seen the image of the smartphone till now.
But fortunately the phone is showcased in Croatia for some unknown event, and the folks at GSMarena have managed to get some snaps of the device.
According to them the phone is not just a replica of Galaxy S4 with a reuggedized design, rather it has got some changes in its main features also. It packs an 8MP rear camera where as Galaxy S4 features a 13 MP camera, and is expected to come with 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM. The display is 5" 1080P and it features 480PPI. It is supposed to run on Android 4.2.2.
The Korean makers have also done some experiments in the designs, to incorporate the rugged nature to the smartphone, from the pictures available from the source the device is likely to be finished with a metallic type shell instead of plastic body.
No other details are available about the device for now, but it is sure that there will be some change from the original Galaxy S4 retail version. In the mean time it is rumored to get unveiled by the end of this month and is reported to go on sale by June.
