Samsung's Galaxy Mega devices were regular visitors to the rumor columns for last couple of days, and finally the South Korean makers have decided to take the wraps off the device officially. Yes Samsung have officially announced both Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3 - the two Android devices with a massive display that "offer the latest smartphone features with an extensive viewing experience," according to Samsung.

Samsung's Mega devices sports extremely large displays and comes as phablets, with designs strongly inspired by Samsung's recently announced flagship device Galaxy S4. In addition to that Samsung have also included a wide range of software customization like S translator, Samsung Link, ChatON, WatchON, S Memo, S Planner, Group Play, S travel, Sound and shot and Story Album.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3
Mega 6.3 packs a 6.3" LCD display with 720p HD resolution with the power of Exynos 5250 processor that uses dual-core Cortex-A15 CPU clocked at 1.7GHz. In case of memory and storage, there will be a 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB or 16GB of on-board storage which can be expanded further with a microSD card support.
There will be an 8 MP main camera and a 1.9MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.2 and also features Samsung’s TouchWiz modifications like Air View (detecting your finger an inch from the screen) and Multi-window (split-screen multitasking). In terms of connectivity Samsung have included Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, LTE, NFC and also offers an IR emitter to turn the device as a remote control too.
Galaxy Mega 6.3 measures 167.6 x 88 x 8.0 mm and weighs 199g, with a 3,200mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8
The smaller Mega device, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 is just a step down version of its bigger brother in most aspects, and it offers just qHD resolution (960x540p) on its 5.8" screen. The processor used in the phone is 1.4GHz dual-core one and it packs an 8MP rear camera along with a 1.9MP front-facing shooter, also Samsung have included all the high-speed connectivity options LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac like its bigger brother. The users will also get IR emitter and NFC connectivity from the device.
The device measures 162.6 x 82.4 x 9.0 mm, weighs 182g and packs 2,600 mAh battery.

Both the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Mega 5.8 will be available starting in May, first in Europe and Russia.
