Samsung Jet 2 Is Available Now In India For 19, 500 INR ($420)

Samsung is extending their Jet series by announcing the device in world's second largest mobile market, India. The device is coming with a name Jet 2 with some added features than in the original Jet S8000. The jet 2 is almost similar to the original Jet but is coming with some new software features and also combines “smart features and an easy-to-use user interface for a superior and differentiated experience.” The device features a one finger zoom which offers one hand operation to zoom in and out. The other features include a 800MHz application processor which offers multi-tasking, 3.1 inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, GPS,Wi-Fi, DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology, TouchWiz 2.0 UI, 5MP camera etc. The device will be available in India now for 19,500 INR, around $420.

Roadmap For LG HDTV Leaks Out

LG's roadmap for the upcoming HDTV leaked out today and it seems to be closed down. From the available details HDTVS, both LCD and Plasma which company announced back in CES 2010, will likely be hitting the market in March and April 2010. It is supposed that the 3D LX9500 series will start shipping from May second week. LG's 3D-capable BD580 Blu-ray deck will be hitting the market only in April along withactive shutter glass from the company. The devices which turn LG HDTV into VOIP terminals with the help of 720p HD Skype video camera accessory will also be launched in May. The company's LEX9 and LEX8 series with 0.27-inch thickness will follow after that. So we may expect the companys HDTV line up in the market by the mid of this year.

Acer Google Chrome Netbook By Mid 2010

As we know Google Chrome is getting an official launch by the end of the year, it seems like the netbooks powered by Google Chrome will be hitting the market before that. According to digitimes , Acer is planning to launch a Google Chrome based netbook by the middle of 2010 to maintain its lead in the market with its competitors. There is not much details available about this device. And also no official announcment is made by Acer. For more details we have to wait patiently.

MicroSoft uPad - A Wireless Charging Device For Smart Charging

MicroSoft is working on a dual-sided wireless inductive charging pad for peripherals like cell phones, media players etc. Apart from charging, the device also offers a compact external OLED display which shows alerts and updates, accelerometer, internet access and ambient lights. The available pictures shows the prototype of the device named 'uPad.' You can place the device to be charged any where, and the integrated accelerometer and load detector will detect which side of the uPad is facing up and the charging will be done through that side. The device can operates in different modes like idle, load detection and charging modes. The OLED screen will gives the information about news headlines, sports scores and weather conditions and updated from an internet connected PC (either wired or wirelesss)

Alcatel OT-808 "netbook look and feel" Phone For $125

If we look at the phones released by Alcatel, we can see that most of the phones are entry level devices. The company announced a new device, Alcatel OT-808 with a "netbook look and feel." The device features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, full QWERTY keyboard, 1.1 inch external monochrome OLED display with a resolution of 128 X 36. The device seems to be different from Alcatel's early devices, at least with its stunning and cool design. The device also features FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, 2 mega pixel Camera, and also coming with social networking integration IM,email, Opera Mini browser etc. The machine will be available for $125. But no words on exact releasing date.

Samsung R330, an entry level smart phone from Samsung is coming to Bell. Bell is gearing up the device in March 1st. Rogers, The First Canadian Carrier To Launch Android 2.1 Acer Liquid e

Acer Liquid e, which was announced officially last week at MWC 2010, is on the way to hit the Canadian mobile market. Rogers, a leading provider of Wireless, High Speed Internet, Digital Cable TV, and Home Phone services in Canada officially announced that they are ready to launch, Android powered Acer Liquid e in this Spring. Sprint 4G WiMAX Phone Coming By The End Of June 2010

We know that every US carriers are working for a 4G WiMAX network. But Sprint is little bit different from them, as they are working sincerly for a 4G network and rumors indicate that Sprint is cooking 4G WiMAX HTC smartphone based on Android 2.1. And also they have confirmed that the new device will be available by the end of June 2010. The device is particularly designed for industrial clients and government. It is supposed that the new device may be HTC Supersonic, with 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 4.3-inch touch screen, but not confirmed.

Nokia C6 Passed Through FCC

Nokia C6, which was first spotted in the starting of February, has made another appearance at FCC as RM-612. As per the report available from FCC, the C6 will be a quad-band GSM device which supports WCDMA bands I, II, VIII. The device resemble a Palm's Centro mobile phone, which is not available now. The device also has got Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth. For the former Centro Users definitely it will be a happy news as this new device is going to be an alternative for their Centro devices.

Wacom Launched Two Interactive Pen Displays DTU-2231 And DTU-1631

Wacom is a well known company which produces graphics tablets and related products and also a number of products for consumers all over the world. The company extended its pen display line for the speciality industries by announcing two new display products DTU-2231 and the DTU-1631. The company claims that DTU-2231 is the first interactive HD pen display for EMR, radiology and also for other applications. Gemalto Launches First Trial Version Of Bio-Sourced SIM Cards

Gemalto applying green engineering concepts in to Sim cards also. They announced bio-sourced SIM. As the new SIM card is made from plant-based bioplastics it can be recycled very easily and also you can incinerate the SIM cards without any emission of toxic fumes. The bio-source SIM card is made by a renewable material from sugar cane, corn, or potato starch. As you know these materials are compostable and recyclable and also reduce the global ecological footprint in the production process. Philippe VallĂ©e, Executive Vice President of Gemalto Telecommunication Business Unit, says “Gemalto and SFR share the same vision in bringing to the market new innovative products that respect the environment, and the efforts toward sustainable practices and products are part of Gemalto’s overall belief in being a responsible global corporate citizen.”

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Passed FCC

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 which was announced by Sony Ericsson back in September 2009, now made its appearance at FCC. This cool looking device is using Windows Mobile 6.5 and is available online for around $700. Even though Sony Ericsson announced three Android powered phones including its first Android device XPERIA X10, none of them are available in market yet. You can expect XPERIA X10 in near future as it may hit the market soon.

Sony announced the comapnies new A/V receiver, STR-DN1010 which can support 3-D audio and video. The device is coming with a HDMI 1.4 3D pass-through technology, compatibility with all of the latest Blu-ray Disc audio formats, high-definition connectivity and is designed in such a way to control any high-definition or 3D capable home theater. The first 3-D receiver from Sony is coming in a piano black gloss finish and also features a full high-definition 1080/24p support. Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 Smartphone Made By Asus, Launched In 2011?

It seems like the MicroSoft is planning to beat Apple iPhone or Google Android phones by taking the risk of manufacturing its own Windows Mobile 7 device. Just after announcing Windows Mobile 7 OS officially, they demoed it on an Asus-made smartphone, which they revealed that it won't be available commercially. Even though it seems like Asus is cooking this (may be different or similar) smartphone MicroSoft is planning to launch the device as its own phone. HTC Desire Already Spotted In Amazon’s Germany Site For A Price-Tag of €419 ($572)

The HTC Desire, a snapdragon powered device which was revealed by HTC at Mobile World Congress is seems to be hitting Amazon. The Amazon's German site already listed the device for €419, around USD $572. But there is no details about the availability. When it will start shipping is unknown now. But it will likely be sold by Amazon, at least in one way from the details.

Symbian To Offer Smartphones For €100 In 2010

Mr. Lee Williams, the Executive Director of Symbian Foundation stated that they are planning to schedule 'a few' Symbian handset for €100 in 2010. As just recently they revealed Symbian^3 OS officialy we may expect the new devices to be coming with Symbian^3. Mr. Lee Williams is not providing a clear cut view, even it seems like they can release the cell phones by the second half of 2010. For the time being the cheapest Nokia Symbian smartphone available in the market is 5230 for €130. Most of the mobile manufactures are trying to reduce the price of their devices and we may may expect a stiff rivalry in mobile industry in 2010.

Sony Ericsson passed another new phone through FCC. The specifications of the candy bar phone code named as 'J10' includes GPS, Bluetooth, 5 mega pixel still and video camera, WLAN, basic web browser, media player etc. You can use the device anywhere around the world as the device supports quad band GSm and WCDMA as per FCC. Text-Only 'Facebook Zero's For Mobile Phones

Facebook, the most popular and (probably the largest ) social networking site around the world will be available in a simple version for mobile users soon in the future. Facebook revealed the new version named as Facebook Zero, during MWC 2010. The Facebook Zero is perfectly suitable for all types of cell phones. The new version of Facebook is lighter than Facebook lite, but with out “data intensive applications”. It seems like that the Facebook Zero is a text only application of Facebook intented for mobiles even the basic ones. Facebook Zero will be launched through a number of mobile carriers around the world free of cost. They are focused on  making peoples access Facebook with their mobile phones and tempt them to pay for other features. You can expect the Facebook Zero in coming weeks.

OpenPeak debuted a new touch screen tablet powered with Moorestown platform called OpenTablet 7. Throwing the powerful Moorestown platform from Intel to the reliable OpenPeak platform the device will be an affordable one with plug-and-play ease of installation. HP HSTNN-W75C Tablet Appeared - First Picture

HP HSTNN-W75C which was spotted for the first time at FCC in late December, made another appearance in FCC with a picture. But we can't get much more details from the picture. But from the available picture, it is supposed to be coming with a retractable antenna which seems to be used for HSTNN-W75C’s Gobi2000 WLAN card. No more details available at this moment. Source

iiView's vPad Is A Netbook In a Tablet

Now when iPad become an instant hit and manufacturers are outing atleast one tablet. iiView is also joining this trend by announcing a new pretty device called vPad. With its ultra-thin design and light weight, iiView hope that vPad will be a biggest hit with its rival devices. The device features a 10.2-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, Windows 7, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, Intel 945 chipset, three USB ports, Wi-Fi 802.11n compatible, and is coming in two versions, $499 for 1GB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive and $699 for a 3G equipped model with 2 GB RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. The sad news is that unfortunately the device doesn't have an HD accelerator and as it is using Windows 7 starter there is no out of the box support for inking. Video Demo Details Of Symbian^3

Just recently Symbian Foundation announced that Symbian is going to be completely open source and they also announced their Symbian ^3 operating system at MWC 2010. Now just take a look at the demo video of Symbian^3 OS. As we already reported the OS is coming with advanced features like swipe movements, momentum scrolling, pinch-to-zoom and the touch enhanced OS simplifies multi-tasking and menu complexity. Symbian^3 also supports highly-customizable multiple home screens and a number of widgets. The operating system allows you to watch HD content videos at 1080p on TV and can buy tracks from music stores with the Symbian powered devices. One more interesting thing is that Symbian^3 is getting a successor soon in the form of Symbian^4 and is expected to be coming by the end of this year.

Sagem Puma Phone Announced Officially

Sagem announced yesterday their Cosyphone designed for elders above 50, they officially announced Puma phone which was announced by Sagem last October. The manufactures claim that, Puma phone is an “active smartphone engineered to facilitate and encourage an active way of life, and got a unique user interface. ” The device provides various Puma services and app and you can purchase products from Puma's official sites. The features of the device includes a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, compass, pedometer, HSDPA connectivity, a solar cell on the back side GPS, 3.2MP camera with LED flash, a VGA video call camera and also offers 'open internet browsing with WAP Push.' HTC Legend Announced Officially

HTC Legend, a long awaited phone which is a follower of company's well-accepted and widely loved Hero, announced officially at MWC today. The device is little bit smaller in size than the Hero but got a splendid and rocking look with its frame milled with a single block of aluminum. The device has got a 3.2-inch multi-touch AMOLED capacitive touch screen and a protruding lip at the bottom. HTC also announced a Windows Mobile device HTC HD Mini (which was known as Photon earlier), at MWC. The device is sleek smartphone smaller than HTC HD2 and focused on people who need a powerful windows mobile in their hands. The device seems much similar to HTC HD2, and coming with a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen display, 5 mega pixel camera, without flash, Windows Mobile 6.5.3 operating system, 600 MHZ Qualcomm 7227 processor, HTC Sense user interface, supports quad-band GSM with 3G etc. The device is expected to hit Asian and European markets in 2010 April. No details about the pricing.

Microsoft Turtle and Pure Is Coming With GSM And CDMA Versions?

After a vast announcement of MicroSoft Windows Mobile 7, we were eagerly waiting for MicroSoft Project Pink Turtle Clamshell which we spotted at FCC last week. Even though there is no official announcement about the Turtle, Conflipper, Microsoft expert digged out some interesting details about the Turtle. Thanks to Conflipper and WMExperts. The details available from the source indicates that the clamshell slider phone will be coming with both GSM and CDMA versions. The GSM version called 'Turtle' (which is already leaked out) where the CDMA version called Pride. The 'Pure' will be a GSM handset while the 'Lion'  a CDMA model. The Turtle is coming with display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and the display for 'Pure' got a 480 x 320 resolution. Texas Instruments Debut Advanced nHD DLP Pico Chipset At MWC

As the technology is advancing in such a fast rate each day a new technology is replacing the excisting one. The mobile phone technology too does not differ. It seems like the mobile phones with pico projectors will open a new space in the mobile phone industry. Texas instrument show cased a new DLP pico chipset at MWC 2010. The device 'nHD' offers a slimmer design and is thinner and smaller than the rivals available in the market. And the thinner design will help the phone manufacturers to design devices with small form factor along with pico projector. The chipset features a 640 x 360 resolution along with 1000:1 contrast ratio, a wider color gamut with RGB LED tech. The chipset uses a low power Pico DPP2601/2607 ASIC processor and got a better power efficiency with 20% thinner optical module. The chipset will start its production from second half of 2010.

MWC 2010 : Emporia Unveiled Elegance and Solid Handsets At MWC

Emporia a well known name in the Australian mobile handset market and involved in designing mobiles with simplicity. MWC 2010 : MicroSoft Announced Windows Mobile 7 Officially

As we expected Steve Ballmer, the Chief Executive Officer of MicroSoft, announced the company's next generation mobile OS Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Series, at Microsoft's conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. He explained that this new OS will be a new beginning, a new iteration and a new approach and design to the mobile phone software. He says “a fresh approach to phone software, distinguished by smart design and truly integrated experiences that bring to the surface the content people care about from the Web and applications”.
