It seems like the MicroSoft is planning to beat Apple iPhone or Google Android phones by taking the risk of manufacturing its own Windows Mobile 7 device. Just after announcing Windows Mobile 7 OS officially, they demoed it on an Asus-made smartphone, which they revealed that it won't be available commercially.
Even though it seems like Asus is cooking this (may be different or similar) smartphone MicroSoft is planning to launch the device as its own phone.
As per the reports in Street the equity analyst Ashok Kumar (who provided the first details about Google Nexus One), MicroSoft and Asus “have encountered some setbacks on the road to manufacturing”a smartphone which will be “the next Apple iPhone killer or Google Android annihilator.”
The candybar shaped device will be running on Windows 7 series and is expected to hit the market by early 2011. But the interesting thing is that before MicroSoft releases its own mobile, we can see a number of handsets hitting the markets manufactured by HTC, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG etc.
