Samsung announced yesterday that their Mobile Display unit will start the mass production of touch function AMOLED panels for mobiles. And this the company claims will be the world's first mass production of AMOLED panel. The device which is known as the 3.3 WVGA comes with a display resolution of 480 x 800p.
Contemporary design techniques used in touchpad display connects the display and touch panels separately. But Samsung has changed this design technique and used a touch sensor over the display and made it to evaporate. This touch sensor with 0.001 mm thickness can provide a high quality display.
The company claims to make this touch embeded AMOLED panel number one in the LCD market. They will start the mass production in March.
