iiView's vPad Is A Netbook In a Tablet

vpad

Now when iPad become an instant hit and manufacturers are outing atleast one tablet. iiView is also joining this trend by announcing a new pretty device called vPad. With its ultra-thin design and light weight, iiView hope that vPad will be a biggest hit with its rival devices.

The device features a 10.2-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, Windows 7, 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, Intel 945 chipset, three USB ports, Wi-Fi 802.11n compatible, and is coming in two versions, $499 for 1GB RAM and a 160 GB hard drive and $699 for a 3G equipped model with 2 GB RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. The sad news is that unfortunately the device doesn't have an HD accelerator and as it is using Windows 7 starter there is no out of the box support for inking.

You can read ebooks, browse the internet and also can do some basic office functions. It is supposed that the next generation of vPad is coming with a N450 processor and ION or an HD accelerator to make the device more multi-media friendly.

The device will be hitting the market this year itself.
