Xperia TX gets Android Jelly Bean firmware updates; version 9.1.B.0.411

Xperia TX aka Sony LT29i is a 4.55 inches Android smartphone from Sony that was announced back in August 2012. It featured Google Android 4.0 ICS when launched, but Sony then had promised a possible Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in the month of March, and the Japanese makers did as they promised. Cheers up Xperia TX users,  Sony is now rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update in the form of firmware version 9.1.B.0.411. Asus Padfone Infinity available for pre-order in Taiwan

Asus had introduced two new devices at MWC which was held last month. This includes a 7" Android tablet with built-in phone functionality, the Fonepad , and the third generation of their innovative tablet-smartphone combo, the  Padfone Infinity . Last week the tablet device Fonepad was released for pre-order in Taiwan for a price equivalent of $302. Now, Asus have started taking pre-orders for the smartphone tablet combo, the Padfone Infinity, in their home ground Taiwan. In Taiwan the 32GB version of the Padfone Infinity is priced at 20,990 TWD which is around $702 and the 64GB version costs 22,990, $769, (for the smartphone itself, and the dock is not included). To experience the combo effect you have to spend 5,000 TWD, $167 extra for the tablet dock. The tablet is set to launch in April in Taiwan and some other markets including UK. BlackBerry Q10 receives Bluetooth certification

The BlackBerry Q10, one of the two new smartphones announced by the company along with BlackBerry Z10 at the BlackBerry 10 event on January 30. The device with company's distinctive QWERTY keyboard design and a 3.1-inch square AMOLED multi-touch display runs on BB10 OS. The Q10 features a 720 x 720 resolution display, dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, PowerVR SGX54 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, microSD card support up to 64GB, 8MP rear camera and a 2100 mAh Li-Ion battery. The device set to launch by the second quarter of 2013. Now a device from BlackBerry with a model number RFN81UW  passes through the Bluetooth SIG and it's none other than BlackBerry Q10. In the United States Verizon Wireless, AT&T Mobility and Sprint Nextel will be going to release the device.

Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720 and SCH-R970 visits FCC

Two new smartphones from Samsung made their necessary visits to FCC. The devices with model numbers SPH-L720 and SCH-R970 are the two new entries from Samsung at FCC. Both of them seems to be the different versions of Samsung's recently announced Galaxy S4 and is scheduled to hit two separate carriers in US. According to the source Blog of Mobile, the one with model number SPH-L720 ( FCC link ) seems to be the Sprint version of Galaxy S4 and will release on Sprint's 4G LTE network soon, while the SCH-R970 ( FCC link ) seems to be destined for US Cellular. Google glass is the next big thing to happen the tech world. So any news related to the Google glass excites a gadget lover. The latest about the Google Glass is that it is going to be manufactured in Santa Clara, California, United States and not in China. Unannounced ZTE Z932L cleared Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certifications

A new device from the Chinese makers ZTE with a model number ZTE Z932L managed to get its Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certifications. The smartphone got its Wi-Fi certification back in March 13 and now it cleared its necessary processing from Bluetooth SIG too. No other details are  available now on the device except its model number. It is supposed to be Android smartphone, and is compatible with 802.11 b / g / n IEEE. 802.11 n IEEE. HTC One firmware update improves camera performance

HTC introduced their flagship device  HTC One back in February, and its new camera technology named ultrapixels was one of the prime focuses for the device. The company during the announcement had promised that the device will be able to take pictures much better than its rivals in the market. But the reviews on the camera of the device were not so promising, and there were reports all around about the under performance. The  low light performance felt better, but the camera did not perform well in daylight. The issue however was not identified to be with hardware, and rumored to be just because of some software malfunctions. YW9300 Android TV box comes with Samsung Exynos 4412 Quad Core processor

Android TV box segment is clearly gaining momentum, with more devices like  Ouya  in the market the scene will become more interesting. However the big brands are yet to launch into this segment, so the hardware part of these devices are not the latest in the market. Samsung Exynos 4412 Quad Core processor was the chip used to the power the International version of Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. YW9300 uses the same Exynos processor to power this Android box paired with Mali 400 quad-core graphics. Other features includes two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI port and one SD card reader for increasing storage. Android version 4.2 is the software used. The $119 model, which is the base model, has got 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage, while the $142 model has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. HTC Desire P and Desire Q photos and specifications revealed

HTC has two new Android smartphones under their Desire range, and both the devices Desire P and Desire Q were spotted online in official press shot like images.  The devices features mid-range specifications on-board, but arrives as a nice option for the budget Android Jelly Bean smartphone seekers. The Desire P with a model number T326h features a 4.3 inch WVGA display and under the hood you will find a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and there is no words on the internal storage, but you will get a microSD card support to expand your on-board storage. Unannounced Samsung SGH-I467 receives Bluetooth SIG certification

A new device from the Samsung with model number SGH-I467, made its visit to Bluetooth SIG and received all the necessary approvals from there. There is no idea on the what the device might be, and also no specific details on the device available from the  Bluetooth SIG site. But a recent post on Blog of Mobile reveals some details on the device with the same model number SGH-I467, and according to them this might be a version of Samsung GALAXY Note 8.0  tablet PC, possibly the AT&T version, as its certification is more closer to that of Samsung GT-N5120, that is the confirmed model number of Galaxy Note 8.0. The device packs Bluetooth Version 4.0, more than that it is said to support LTE / W-CDMA / GSM connectivity, that will work fine with AT&T's wireless network. Lenovo S920 announced officially in China, arrives on April 8

Early in March, two new Android smartphones  from Lenovo dubbed as S920 and S820  were spotted in the wild. Among the duo the Lenovo S920 with a 5.3" screen and 720p resolution is official now. The phone is set to launch on April 8, 2013, and will go on pre-order starting from April 1. Lenovo have priced the device at 2,199 Yuan,  approximately $354 / €274. Lenovo S920 packs a 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor to power its 5.3" display. It houses a 1GB RAM and there is a 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera on the device. Within its 7.9mm thick body the S920 packs a 2250 mAh battery and microSD card slot. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Huawei Ascend Mate available in China for ¥2,688, starting from March 6

Huawei officially announced their 6.1" quad-core Android phone, the Huawei Ascend Mate at the press conference in China. The reports says that the Ascend Mate with its huge display has stolen the hearts of everyone present there. Nokia N9 Mini Coming?

Nokia introduced their first and the only MeeGo powered smartphone Nokia N9 back in September 2011, and the Finns have had a long journey after its introduction. A mini version of the N9 is rumored here and there for quite sometime, and also there are rumors pointing that Nokia may bring back the swipe-based MeeGo platform with a different brand, in the future. Samsung Galaxy Fonblet to offer a 6.3" screen

Remember the Samsung  Galaxy Fonblet , that was first rumored in January this year. The device was said to offer a 5.8 inch display and almost similar to that of a Galaxy Player, with phone functionality. Well the things seems to have changed, and the Fonblet won't offer a 5.8" display, rather it features a huge 6.3 inch one.   Earlier we had also mentioned the possibility of a 6.3 device from Samsung in the GamePad post of our site . At that time we had though it to be the upcoming Galaxy Note III. Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini leaked online

Samsung unwrapped their latest flagship model Galaxy S4 on March 14 and just after a week a shruken Galaxy S4 appeared online. The smaller one obviously Galaxy S4 Mini follows the same path of its bigger brother, in design. But in features, it seems to be a step down version of the S4, as seen in the picture. The SamMobile published some live photos of the smartphone, and it reveals that the back cover design is also identical to S4. The S4 Mini with a model number GT-I9190 is supposed to offer a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution and 256ppi, and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, Nature UX 2.0 and dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. Archos GamePad 7 inch tablet now available in US for $179

Few days ago we had discussed about an upcoming  GamePad device from Samsung . Samsung Gamepad however is not a complete device for gaming, it gets complete only when it is connected with either a smartphone or tablet. Archos GamePad, though there is no comparison with Samsung's GamePad, is a complete gaming tablet with attached controllers. It is available in Europe for last few months and the opportunity has come for the US  buyers to buy one from a retailer in the country. iPhone 5S To Feature A Higher Pixel Camera And A Beefier Processor : Report

The rumors on the next generation iPhone seems to be heating up, but as of now it does not look very exciting. The latest reports suggests that the iPhone 5S won't be carrying any breath taking features. It is expected to land with a marginal upgrade over the iPhone 5, and there won't be any "major update," rather it offers a beefier processor, (higher-end A7 processor) and a higher-megapixel camera with a new module or even a redesigned flash. Another day, another leak, evLeaks is back again with another new leak, and this time they finds out the press renders of an unannounced device from the Chinese makers Huawei. The new device dubbed as Huawei Ascend G700, seems to be an additon of company's mid-range portfolio and will sport some interesting features for a reasonable price. Google Keep Is Official Now

Just a couple of days ago, a note taking app from Google named Google Keep popped up the web , and disappeared after showing its face. Amazon Coming Up With $99 Kindle Fire HD Tablet This Year?

The question is everywhere, because it about Amazon's new tablet and it ought to be a big game changer. Tech world is abuzz with the news that the Amazon is introducing a $99 Kindle Fire HD Tablet. Asus Fonepad Is Available For Pre-Order In Taiwan For $302

Asus introduced their first Intel powered tablet- Fonepad back in MWC last month. The Fonepad with a 7" screen and built-in phone functionality will go on sale by the end of March, and Asus have now started taking the pre-orders for the device in Taiwan. The company is offering the 16GB model of the tablet for NT $8,900 which is around $302. In Taiwan Asus joins with Chunghwa Telecom to offer the FonePad on contract, the customers have to sign a special two-year contract with Chunghwa Telecom to get the device with out any additional cost,but have to pay NT $1,343 ($45.07) per month. HTC Officially Announced HTC E (603e) For Chinese Market

HTC introduced a new mid-ranger for the Chinese market, dubbed as HTC E. The phone with a model number HTC 603e will be available for purchase in China soon and the purported price tag of the device is 1,799 CNY (around $290, or €224). Samsung Executive Confirms SmartWatch Possibly Dubbed As Altius

While the Galaxy S4 rumors were in its peak, we heard a name Samsung Altius in the rumors, along with some screen shots and details. The Altius seems to be Samsung step in to smartwatch market, and it was said make an official unwrap not long after the Galaxy S4. Google is ditching the  Nvidia's Tegra 4 System-on-a-Chip in favor of  Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro silicon processor. Just recently Intel and Asus had teamed up for a budget friendly FonePad , a 7" Intel Atom Z2420 processor based Android tablet that offers built-in phone functionality along with  1GB RAM, 3MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, 8/16GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot and runs on Android 4.1. The combo is back again, and this time the semiconductor giant joins Asus for a smartphone. A new 7" Android tablet from the company named Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue was spotted in a press shot like snaps.
