Google's next generation Nexus smartphone, allegedly named as Nexus 5 is in the rumor columns now, for its revolutionary camera technology. According to the Phonearena’s unnamed sources, the new Nexus will be landing with Nikon camera on board, and if the rumor is worth to believe, then it will definitely going to be a milestone in mobile camera technology.

Based on an alleged retail specs, the Nexus 5 may pack a 5-inch full 1080p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quadcore processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, and a huge 3140 mAh battery. There will be two storage options, both 8GB and 16GB, and the OS, obviously be the Android 5.0, next iteration from Google that is waiting for its official bells.
Now the camera as we said earlier will carry Nikon branding and has a ‘triple camera sensor’ feature for extreme imaging capability. The source noted that the current test module is ‘better than everything else’ presumably implying all current phones in the market.
Moreover Google’s senior vice president of engineering wrote on Google + that the company is ‘committed to making Nexus phones insanely great cameras,’ adding: ‘Just you wait and see.’
All in all if the rumors turns out to be true, the camera will be the prime focus for the phone, and may be unveiled in the Google I/O.
