Samsung Unwraps Galaxy Star, Galaxy Pocket Neo Smartphones In South Africa

Samsung officially announced two new affordable devices at the on-going Samsung Forum in South Africa. Both the devices, Galaxy Star and Galaxy Neo, are just an addition to company's entry level smartphones, but offers the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean power. The  devices are headed to emerging African markets and will be released in the coming weeks there.

Among the two the Samsung Galaxy Star is a 3-inch 240×320 touchscreen device with an  EDGE connectivity and dual SIM support.  A 4GB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM and 2MP rear camera are the other main features of the device.  It offers microSD card support and also offers support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The battery included in the device is a 1200 mAh battery one, enough for a device in its range.

While the Pocket Neo, a 3-inch 240×320 touchscreen is packed with a 850 MHz processor and the same 512 MB of RAM & 4GB of on-board storage. The features seems to be almost similar to that of Galaxy Star, and offers dual SIM support, sport Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, and the only difference from Star is the 3G support inside the Pocket Neo.

Meanwhile the South Korean giant is all set to launch their Galaxy S4 later today. So stay tuned for more update on S 4.
