5" 1080p Alcatel One Touch Idol X Announced Officially

When it comes to the high end smartphones, Alcatel is not a common name that comes to our mind. It looks like that the French makers are now planning for a change, and they want to penetrate into the high end Android space. Alcatel introduced a number of new devices at MWC. One Touch Idol X, one of them that hides pretty impressive features behind its 5" 1080p display and its bold design with ultra thin bezel makes it a visual treat for any eyes. The company is offering the device in a range of attractive colors, like the Windows Phone 8 offerings from HTC and Nokia.

In terms of core specifications, it offers a quad core power with a 1.2 GHz  MediaTek MT6589 processor and houses a 16GB on-board storage, there is also a microSD cards support for your additional storage needs. A 13 MP rear camera is of course a highlight for the device, that comes with LED flash, autofocus, and full HD video recording support.

Measuring just 7.1mm, One Touch Idol X is one of the thinnest smartphone available in the market now, and it houses a 2000mAh battery. There is no word on the LTE connectivity. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

We still don't know the price details of One Touch Idol X or whether Alcatel is planning to bring the device in US or not.
