
Finally the game is all over, LG was teasing the specifications of their latest flagship model, LG Optimus G PRo, one bye one, from the past few weeks, and now the company has officially unwrapped their largest smartphone to date, in their home ground South Korea. The device lands with all the same features, leaked previously. So for those who know about Optimus G Pro, this will be a repetition, but still we are providing the features once again.
The 5.5-inch Full HD revolution is there in the all new G Pro, apart from its 1920 x 1080 resolution display, the device promises an ultimate processing power with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, introduced by Qualcomm back in CES last month. LG claims that their Optimus Pro will be the first handset to come with the processor. The processor is assisted with 1.6GHz quad-core Krait 300 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU for improved graphics performance. Under the hood, there is 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded with a microSD card slot.
The device is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with with LED flash and there is also a 2.1 MP front facing camera. LG introduced a new innovative feature called Dual Recording in this smartphone, that lets the users to record video with both cameras at the same time, and the feed from the front camera inserted into the main video for a picture in picture effect.
It sports all the usual connectivity options and features a larger 3,140mAh battery, as it is rumored earlier. The battery is a removable one with wireless charging support, and is supposed to be enough for your daily needs. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as the OS.
It sports a thin profile with a narrow bezel, that makes the device to tip 76.1mm in wide, much better than the Galaxy Note at 80.5mm with the same display size. It measures 150.2×76.1×9.4 mm in dimensions and 172 grams in weighs.
The device will be landing in South Korea starting from next week, for 968,000 won – about $898 or €671. LG is planning to introduce the device in US too, and they promised a release in North America sometime during the second quarter of this year and the interesting thing is that Optimus G Pro is also set to land in Japan in Q2.
