Archos Introduces Platinum Range Of Tablets

Archos introduced a new range of tablets, Archos Platinum, that offers Apple like feel for your eyes, but with an affordable price tag. Archos have packed the new range of tablets with some graphical power and HD displays to show it off along with rock quad core processors.

Now meet the members in the platinum series, you will find three new flavors in the series, 8", 9.7" and 11.6". All the models offers high-definition IPS display, Mini-HDMI and microSD ports and also a descent front and back cameras. Running on Android 4.1: Jelly Bean, all the three models offers quad-core 1.2GHz processing power along with 8-core GPU with 1080p video decoding and a 2GB of RAM.

Archos 80 Platinum, the smaller one in the series with a 8-inch display, comes with a 1024 x 768 resolution, and it may be compared to Amazon's Kindle Fire HD. The tablet will be available starting from February itself, for $199 in the US, £179 in the UK, and €199 elsewhere in Europe.

The second one, Archos 97 Platinum HD offers 9.7-inch display with a sharp 2048 x 1536 resolution that match with iPad Retina-like resolution. Archos have also finished it in the same size and sharpness as the iPad 4, but it won't be as pricey as the iPad but will be available for $299 (UK£249).

Finally the Archos 116 Platinum , a 11.6-inch tablet with a 1,920×1,080 IPS touchscreen that will be landing with a $349 price tag, in April.
